Community Engagement Coordinator- Access Community Health Network- A Safe Haven

How You Will Make an Impact: 

  • Identify and facilitate community events such as health fairs, community workshops, senior- focused events, and church-sponsored programs to educate community members on ACCESS’ services and programs and connect them to care
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, coalitions, network groups, business leaders, and service providers with a strong focus on addressing health disparities in order to establish ACCESS as the community’s preferred health provider
  • Maintain an organized record of outreach and engagement activities to support organizational goals
  • Work collaboratively with other ACCESS departments to support referral systems, specific programs and services initiatives, and outreach events
  • Support ACCESS patients and community members by scheduling appointments or supporting patients to schedule appointments on their own through our patient portal

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years of community organizing and/or outreach experience
  • Proven track record of community organizing while performing outreach at the community level
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of local populations
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
