Child Welfare Specialist- SOS Children's Villages
The Child Welfare Specialist provides services to SOS Illinois children and their families in order to achieve the particular case goal as outlined and explained in the client service plan. They report to the Child Welfare Supervisor and are located at one of our villages in Lockport, Roosevelt Square, or Chicago Village.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive case management services to SOS Illinois children on the Village and in the community, including assessment, referral, placement supervision, service plan formulation and implementation, and appropriate involvement with the SOS Illinois and biological families. Act as a partner to Foster Parents in times of need.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and current service reports on children and families served including timely written case notes, six-month summaries and permanency reports as required and/or requested by DCFS and SOS Illinois. Conduct quarterly audits of client files.
- Ensure that a healthy, safe and secure home environment and a consistency of care is provided to the children, including but not limited to, ensuring that the children received proper medical, dental and emotional care as required.
- Advise and consult with the Client, Foster Parent and Child Welfare Supervisor to ensure adequate understanding of the case dynamics and the needs of the Client.
- Coordinate effectively with DCFS and other community agencies for the maximum utilization of available resources to address the service goals of the cases assigned.
- Work in conjunction with other team members to develop a working knowledge of community resources which may be used in serving clients and maintain a close working relationship with these resources.
- Act as a Liaison to the Foster Parent Enrichment Coordinator and Child & Family Services Coordinator within the Spanish speaking communities towards identifying resources and foster parent recruitment.
- Prepare for and attend required case meetings, ACR’s, court hearings, and staffings.
- Submit reports as required by Supervisor.
- Perform on-call duties as needed to carry out the responsibilities as required.
- Communicate problems and issues within the department to the Child Welfare Supervisor.
- Complete all mandatory agency and job specific training.
- Represent SOS Illinois in a professional manner to the public and guests.
- Comply with all SOS Illinois policies, state, federal, county and city laws, rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend general agency staff meetings, in-service education/training, individual supervision, and other meetings as directed by the Village Director or Supervisor.
- Work with Foster and Biological Families and provide support when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field.
- Proficient speaking, reading and writing skills. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- One year Child Welfare Experience.
- DCFS Child Welfare Employee Licensure required.
- Ability to work with DCFS, courts and other social service systems.
- Ability to pass DCFS required criminal background check including CANTS/SACWIS and SORS.
- Valid Illinois driver's license with acceptable driving record; insured and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel between both Villages and surrounding communities.
- Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and staff.
- Ability to relate to the Agency staff and to the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Undergraduate Admissions Counselor- Moody Bible Institute
Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admissions, the Undergraduate Admissions Counselor is responsible for the management of a designated caseload of prospective students. The primary goal of Counselor is moving prospective students through the admission process for the Undergraduate School to achieve the MBI enrollment goals for all academic programs and venues.
Essential Functions

Supportive Employment Specialist- New Moms- McCormick Health
About the Job:
The Supportive Employment Specialist is a key
member of the Workforce Development team whose primary is responsibility is
providing comprehensive, individualized case management and coaching to young
moms in the program. This includes connecting families with resources, goal
planning, assistance with overcoming obstacles, and providing support to assist
young moms in obtaining permanent, high-quality employment. This position
supports young moms so they can maximize the training, coaching, and job
placement opportunities available. The Supportive Employment Specialist will

intensity levels based on program phase

Through
a strengths-based approach, conducts thorough assessments of families,
utilizing prescribed assessment tools on established schedule; service planning

participant

Provides
consistent and regular contact and engagement to support and monitor individual

AGENCY OVERVIEW:
Apna Ghar provides critical, comprehensive, culturally competent services, and conducts outreach and
advocacy across communities to end gender violence.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Apna Ghar is seeking a case manager to
provide housing services to survivors of gender-based violence. Case managers
at Apna Ghar play a central role in implementing effective programs under the
guidance of senior programs staff. Case management is a core component of our
work and a case manager is primarily responsible for providing high-quality and
impactful support and services to our programs participants and those who seek
our services. This position focuses on housing but includes providing a wide
array of other services including crisis counseling, coaching, sharing relevant
information on rights and options, connecting to relevant resources, and advocacy
on behalf of program participants. The case manager will work in close
collaboration with staff and management across the agency to ensure program
goals are met. Results for this position will be measured against quantity,
quality and effectiveness of service delivery. This position reports to the
Program Coordinator who in turn reports to the Programs Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUDE:

Assist survivors of gender violence through
crisis management, safety planning, needs assessment, service planning, case
management and advocacy.

Assess housing needs, provide relevant and
useful information on rights and available options, and connect appropriately
to housing as well as other resources in and outside the project
·
Coach
clients using motivational skills to help them move along their service plan
objectives
·
Assess other service needs, provide relevant
and useful information on rights and available options, and connect
appropriately to resources that include education, employment, and health

Support clients with logistics management in
case of moving into new housing

Home Care Aide/ Caregiver- Bilingual (Part Time)- Casa Central
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides in-home care services, according to participants’ established plans of care.
2. Accompanies participants to appointments via public transportation or other community sources (e.g. taxi cab, Lyft, Uber, or Medi-car), if required by the established plan of care.
3. Actively participates in all staff meetings, monthly in-service training and regular individual supervision with an assigned supervisor.

Adolescent Interventionist- Right Direction Crisis Intervention
RIGHT
DIRECTION is a company that transports at-risk adolescents to treatment
programs. We are looking for a few responsible individuals with a flexible
schedule looking for a supplemental income.
This is an on-call position. You must have experience with and
interest in working with adolescents. You will also need to do a considerable
amount of traveling throughout the course of your employment. JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Adolescent Interventionist, you and a team member will transport at-risk
adolescents from one location to another (typically from their home to a
treatment program). Right Direction is hired by the parents, who give us signed
legal authority, to safely transport their children to pre-arranged therapeutic
programs. Most of these teens have emotional issues and can sometimes be very
defiant. Safety is the number one concern. You must be aware you might have to
restrain the adolescent during the intervention only if the situation arises.
We use core body holds and verbal de-escalation techniques to gain control of
the situation. Employees will always work in pairs. Quite often, employees are
given very little notice of a case; therefore, a flexible schedule is a must.
This is an on-call position and in no way full-time or part-time.
