Truck Driver $18-$19.50 p/hr, commensurate with experience Brief Description of Duties, other duties as assigned The primary responsibility will be transporting raw material and work in progress between company buildings. Chicagoland area pickups and deliveries as well as loading and unloading trucks to support the shipping, receiving and warehouse operations. Wine distributor located at Damen and Carroll is in need of a Driver/warehouseman.


Wine distributor is looking to hire a combined delivery driver & warehouse worker to work 4 days a week (for now).

The job is physical in nature and the candidate must be comfortable climbing in and out of a truck up to 30 times per day as well as lifting and delivery upwards of 100 cases of wine per day.

Candidate must have valid, clean and up to date driver license and be 21 years old or older

Candidate must be able to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis

Familiar with city and suburbs is a PLUS


Work Schedule:

Tuesday to Friday, 8 AM to 4PM, or until deliveries are completed.

Occasional Monday work / hours is possible as well.


Hourly Rate:

$16

Flexible based on experience.

Main Ingredients of the Job

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required

CDL Driver- Mather Lifeways, WIlmette, IL

Driver for Mather Place Wilmette, needed to provide transportation for residents in Independent Living Community on the North Shore. Knowledge of the Skokie, Wilmette, Glenview, Evanston, and North Shore areas a plus. While commercial or chauffer license, not require, either is preferred. 

  • Safely and efficiently transport residents in Mather vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicles, mechanically and aesthetically, according to maintenance schedule and as needed.
  • Maintains a daily check log, service log, and other pertinent records. 
  • Works to continually improve scheduling and transportation service to maintain on-time performance within a reasonable margin, weather permitting

We have opportunities for full time work Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays, and cross train to cover concierge desk when needed.

Driver- El Valor

JOB SUMMARY

The Driver will provide transportation services to the Organization’s program participants following assigned routes. Driver is also responsible to the safe operation of Organization vehicles and PACE Vans, following protocols for routine vehicle inspections and maintenance. Additionally, Driver is responsible for timely reporting any participant safety, mechanical or operational problems, and completing any required documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalency required;
  • One to three years of job-related prior experience required;
  • Must be 23 years of age or older;
  • Successful completion of U.S. DOT physical examination and drug screening per PACE Requirements;
  • Valid, current driver’s license for minimum of three years with good driving record required;
  • Current, valid proof of insurance required;
  • Reliable means of transportation required;
  • Must pass the PACE certification process to become PACE certified;
  • Successful completion of CPR, First Aid required;
  • Office of the Inspector General Training (OIG) Rule 50 training completion upon hire required;

 Provides emergency and non-emergency ground transportation and assists with property maintenance and building security

Responsibilities

The following essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Support Gift of Hope’s mission, vision, and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position
  • Work assigned schedule of 1:00 AM - 9:00 AM including alternating weekends
  • Provide emergency and non-emergency ground transportation for organ and tissue recovery departments including human organs, blood and tissue samples, tissue team, and organ department staff, and external organ procurement teams

    • Escort employees to personal vehicles

    • Restock bathroom and lunchroom supplies
    • Monitor salt level in water softener
    • Monitor alarm panel for generator
    • Some landscaping duties
    • Trash removal
    • Maintenance of exercise equipment
    • Snow removal
    • Fire extinguisher inspections
    • Flush drains
    • Monitor alarm panel for deionized water tank
  • Keep all Gift of Hope vehicles clean and in proper working condition; report problems immediately to the supervisor
  • Drive vehicles to commercial garage for periodic servicing
  • Complete and submit a daily Vehicle Maintenance Checklist for each vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned

Driver- The Salvation Army

This position is responsible for all pick-ups and deliveries for the Harbor Light and Service Center.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  1. The van is driven for food/donation pickups and other designated pickups, such as Home League Group or deliveries, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. The trip log is maintained.
  2. Shuttle service for Harbor Light staff and program participants is provided when needed.
  3. Assistance is given in the unloading and storage of any goods, commodities, furniture and other equipment delivered to the Harbor Light Center.
  4. Scheduled maintenance check-ups and upkeep on fleet is scheduled and maintained. The fleet is kept clean.
  5. The mail from Harbor Light and Corrections at DHQ is picked up from DHQ. Contracts and other time sensitive materials are picked up and delivered as needed.
  6. At the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor assistance is given in collecting and disposing of all garbage in designated areas on a daily basis, maintenance and sanitation of all bathroom facilities is performed and carpeted areas are vacuumed as assigned.
  7. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Previous driving experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES
  • Must possess a valid Illinois Class C driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
