Dishwasher - Chicago, IL- ICNC

Italian pastry shop located at Damen and Fulton is in need of a Dishwasher.
Responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitizing of all pots, pans and utensils, that flow through the dishwashing area
 
Responsibilities/Duties:

• Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and dishwashing area.
• Responsible for inspecting pots, pans and utensils prior to releasing to storage area.
• Must be able to read and understand company's SSOP for all equipment including use of PPE
• Maintains the dishwashing area in sanitary conditions

 
Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in food manufacturing environment a PLUS
• Ability to be a team player
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus
• Knowledge of sanitation in a prepared food preferred
• Ability to adapt to a high paced environment and follow protocols

 
Skills:

• Ability to stand a minimum of 6-8 hours per day
• Ability to left heavy pots, pans and equipment parts up to 40-50lb continuously

Pot/Pan Washer / Dishwasher – Mid-America Club

The Dishwasher is responsible for duties such as cleaning heavy duty dishes, cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and production of food items, as well as closing and storage for individual work station as needed. Preparation of and storage of all food items necessary to operate kitchen in adherence with our quality standards. Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the Steps of Service.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-ins, storerooms, and employee locker room, etc. as directed
• Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef’s when special products are needed or having problems with equipment and tools
• Participate as a member of the Heart of House team

Job Qualifications

- Any previous experience in stewarding or kitchen prep is favorable
- High school diploma preferred
