This position is responsible for all pick-ups and deliveries for the Harbor Light and Service Center.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- The van is driven for food/donation pickups and other designated pickups, such as Home League Group or deliveries, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. The trip log is maintained.
- Shuttle service for Harbor Light staff and program participants is provided when needed.
- Assistance is given in the unloading and storage of any goods, commodities, furniture and other equipment delivered to the Harbor Light Center.
- Scheduled maintenance check-ups and upkeep on fleet is scheduled and maintained. The fleet is kept clean.
- The mail from Harbor Light and Corrections at DHQ is picked up from DHQ. Contracts and other time sensitive materials are picked up and delivered as needed.
- At the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor assistance is given in collecting and disposing of all garbage in designated areas on a daily basis, maintenance and sanitation of all bathroom facilities is performed and carpeted areas are vacuumed as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Previous driving experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES
- Must possess a valid Illinois Class C driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
