Administers
respiratory care treatments and life support to patients with deficiencies and
abnormalities of cardiopulmonary system, under supervision of a Physician and
by prescription. Evaluates and performs both basic and advanced respiratory
care procedures on a repetitive basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM
EDUCATION:

High school diploma or completion of a GED program.
·
Must be currently enrolled in good academic standing in
the second year of a two-year American
·
Medical Association (AMA) approved school for Respiratory
Care. Continuous enrollment with
·
Good academic standing is required to maintain active
employment status.
·
Graduate of an accredited entry-level AMA approved school
for Respiratory Care preferred.
MINIMUM
WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

CPR certification required.
·
Must become a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by
the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 6 months of eligibility.

Must become licensed by the State of Illinois as a
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) within two months of attainment of CRT
certification
