Position:Teacher $14.50 per hour
Assistant Teacher $13.50 per hour
Teacher Minimum Requirements:
• At least 19 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• 60 semester hours from an accredited
college or university (With at least 6
semester hours in ECE courses)
• 1 year experience in a day care center or
child care setting is preferred
Teacher Assistant Minimum Requirements:
• At least 19 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with children preferred
Teacher Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Able to calmly and lovingly maintain an
environment that enables all to learn.
• Able to create and implement lesson
plans.
• Implement appropriate early educational
experiences.
• Plan and prepare the learning
environment, setting up interest centers,
and prepare needed materials and
supplies.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized
classroom.
• Communicate effectively with parents and
staff.
Teacher Assistant Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and implementing the
daily program under direction of the
teacher.
• Assist in planning and preparing the
learning environment.
• Help with the general housekeeping
tasks.
• Assist the teacher in other ways as
requested.
• Maintain a professional attitude treat all
children with dignity and respect.
• Ability to work as a team and be flexible in
room/job placement
