As a Home Visitor for our home-based Early Head Start program, you will provide weekly home visits to children and their parents/caregivers in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs. You will conduct age-appropriate developmental activities for children and conduct quarterly assessments of their development. You will also develop partnerships with families, offering parent education activities and helping them to set and achieve family goals.

Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly home visits to children and their parents/caregivers.
- Conduct age-appropriate developmental activities for children and parent education activities.
- Conduct quarterly assessments of children’s development.
- Develop partnerships with families, including helping them identify parent/family strengths, needs and interests, and meet their goals.
- Assist the Family Support Specialists in assessing the family’s need for services and obtaining all consents needed for family to achieve goals.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required.
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD preferred.
- Experience working in a Head Start or Early Head Start program preferred.
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish highly desirable.
- Must be attentive to detail, self-motivated, well-organized and flexible and have initiative.
- Must have the ability to work as a team player and to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
