Production Staff Intern- Leto Foods- ICNC

Join in shared kitchen on Mondays & Wednesdays (8:30am - 4:30pm). Mondays, we build boxes & fill the boxes to be shipped. Monday afternoon we do a production run of 100 pouches and ingredient prep. Most of our ingredients arrive frozen; however, some we need to prep & freeze ourselves. On Wednesdays, we do a production run of 100 more pouches in the morning, and another 100 pouches in the afternoon. After each run, we do clean up. Before each production run we need to label our pouches for the day. Each production run has a 3 person assembly line. OPTIONAL Saturdays: Intern to prepare the orders for Monday – print the order forms, log each order into FedEx.com & print the shipping label; sorting – order forms & shipping labels for each person go together. Sorting – FedEx same day labels go in 1 folder, FedEx 1 day ground go in another folder, FedEx 2 day ground go in a 3rd folder). I would teach the intern how to do this & prepare an excel file for them to use to enter the information and provide the printer


The intern must be over the age of 18, have their ServSafe Food Handler Certificate, be willing to learn (we are a small but growing company!), and ideally be willing/able to learn how to use our software (Shopify orders, FedEx.com, label printing). The intern should be detail oriented – most of the work is measuring each ingredient and putting it into a pouch; most of our ingredients arrive prepped, but not all.

Interns will submit their time sheet on a biweekly schedule and their internship stipend will also be given to them on a biweekly schedule. Interns are considered independent contractors and they will need to complete a 1099; please note, no taxes are taken out of your stipend check.

 Schedule: Number of Hours per Week: 16 - 20 Days 

Hours: Required: Mondays and Wednesday 8:30pm - 4:30pm; Optional Saturdays for 4 hours/week
