Systems Engineer- Moody Bible Institute

Under the supervision of the Manager, Engineering Operations, the Systems Engineer is responsible to build, install, operate, and maintain the building automation, access, and security systems. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Install and maintain the building automation, access control, security systems, and control panels of Moody Bible Institute. Plan, implement and administer a predictive and preventative maintenance program to provide maximum life to building systems and reliability necessary to support the mission of Moody Bible Institute. Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies necessary for the repair and installation of systems. Maintain proper records on the installation and maintenance of building automation and security systems. Ensures that all Systems installations comply with city and state building and safety codes, and OSHA . Perform related and special duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Two years of experience in installing, operating, and maintaining building automation equipment. Possession of valid licenses and/or certificates as required by prevailing practice. Authorized to work in the US legally, without sponsorship Preferred Requirements B.S. in Building Automation Engineering Technology Possess continued education credits or certification and training in building automation systems. This job operates primarily on the campus of a school where work is performed both inside and outside. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.  This position requires use of hand tools and equipment common to the building automation trade. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly move about the campus or job site where standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs will be required. This position may require work and supervision to be perform but not limited to a crawl space, shaft, roof, mechanical room, office etc. This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 38.75 hours hours per week.
