Enrollment Counselor- Moody Bible Institute

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admissions, the Enrollment Counselor is responsible for the management of a designated caseload of prospective students. The primary goal of the counselor is moving prospective students through the admission process for the undergraduate online programs to achieve MBI enrollment goals.

Essential Functions

  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in planning and implementing a strategy for management of assigned contacts to meet recruitment goals. Fully responsible for results in assigned territory.
  • Advises prospective students and parents regarding the college search process, all aspects of college life.
  • Maintains timely and consistent contact with applicants in his or her alpha and other applicants as assigned, from initial interest through matriculation.
  • Responsible for the timely operation of the follow-up process for incomplete files through phone, email, and in person.
  • Participates in calling and email campaigns as assigned.
  • Accountable for keeping the CRM system up to date by reporting activities and results achieved with each contact assigned.
  • Develops professional relationships with key personnel of high schools, churches, MBI faculty and other key stakeholders for the purpose of identifying and cultivating quality candidates for Moody’s online programs
  • Occasional Travel required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in admission, sales, marketing, or a related field
  • Organizational skills, planning, self-motivation, accountability, delegation, and evaluation
  • A working knowledge of computer software is required; admission software preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Affinity and enthusiastic commitment to the mission of Moody Bible Institute
  • Authorized to work in the US legally, without sponsorship

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position: Hours vary, M-F (40 hours per week)

Moderate statewide travel may be required for this position.
