Part Time Project Coordinator- Moody Bible Institute

Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Program Manager, serve as project coordinator for ministry partners within Moody Bible Institute to ensure components of various marketing projects and programs are completed on-time and on-budget. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Provide ongoing support for the Marketing Program Manager and Program Management team as they partner with various departments across the institute including but not limited to: Donor Development, Moody Radio Marketing, the Alumni Association, Today in the Word, and Direct Mail. Utilize MSC’s project management software, Workamajig, to intake, plan, and monitor a project throughout its lifecycle. This includes, creating schedules, monitoring deadlines, and providing project sponsors with regular updates regarding a project’s status. Meet and interact with ministry partners throughout a project cycle, indicating project scheduling/deadline probability, giving cost estimates, scheduling joint meetings with ministry partners and MSC staff as needed, advocating for the MBI brand, and negotiating with clients on project specifics. Create and monitor schedules and deadlines for projects, as well as forecast and track team and ministry partner metrics related to capacity bandwidth. This involves proactively communicating project scope and updates to them, ensuring they are able to evaluate status of all project schedules and the workloads of individual team members in project management software. Consistently look for and suggest ways to streamline processes and increase project efficiencies and improve lines of communication between teams to optimize transparency and to ensure availability of most up-to-date information. Provide optimal partner support and cultivate on-going trusted relationships by ensuring clear and consistent communication between staff to ministry partners, encouraging a tone of collaborative assertiveness in all ministry partner communications. With the goal of exceeding the ministry partner’s expectations, inform the Marketing Programs Manager and the department of successes, failures, communication hurdles, and recommend solutions when appropriate. Participate in and contribute to Marketing Program Management staff meetings by analyzing performance issues and offering suggestions for improvements while providing a client advocacy perspective to all staff. Contribute to both the operational and relational effectiveness of the Marketing Program Management department and with other departments by positive, collaborative communication and by regularly recommending improvements to department processes Seek out and recommend opportunities for professional growth Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree Strong interpersonal skills Customer service oriented On-going management of multiple complex projects with aggressive timelines Detail-oriented, and organized Flexibility with changing deadlines and scopes Confidence in negotiating deadlines and deliverables with an array of personalities Authorized to work in the US legally, without sponsorship Preferred Requirements 2-3 years of relevant work experience Experience with project management software such as Workamajig. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Hours: Monday – Friday, 28 hours per week within normal office hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm.
