Qualifications for Infant/Toddler & Pre-K Child Development Teachers: BA preferred will consider 60 Semester Hours with a minimum of 6 Hours in elementary school education.
Teachers with 1 year (1550 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school or kindergarten, or licensed daycare center and 30 hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours (or 9 quarter hours) related to school-age child care, child development, from birth to age 6, will also be considered.
Interested and able to work with infants to 3-year-olds is very desirable.
Must have or be willing to obtain Gateways ECE training as needed. At least Level 1 but Level 5 is a plus.
All of our teaching positions require a high level of reliability and ability to work during public school vacations (other than seven major holidays). Must be willing to read, digest, implement and adhere to DFSS, ISBE, DCFS, ExceleRate Illinois, and SEAC standards.
