Full-time Assistant Kitchen Manager - Chicago, IL

As Assistant Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for:
  • Prep room operations
  • Maintaining daily prep room schedule and functioning team
  • Maintaining freshness, quality and appeal of all of our prepared products
  • Trimming, cutting, wrapping, packaging, labeling, displaying, water and rotating produce
  • Follow recipes accurately
  • Handling and packaging a variety of nuts and seeds
  • Safely operate job-related equipment
  • Daily inventory of all product
  • Weekly inventory on supplies
  • Ordering of herbs and cheese
  • Create employee schedules
  • Resume all responsibilities of kitchen in absence of Kitchen Manager
 
Requirements you will need:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2+ years of kitchen related experience
  • 1+ years of leadership/kitchen management experience
  • Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts preferred 
  • Open to alternative cooking methods
  • Attention to detail
  • Hardworking
  • Positive attitude
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be able to lift 40+ pounds
  • Chicago Food Sanitation License
  • Bilingual preferred
