Assists Medical Technologists with day-to-day duties to maintain the overall operation of the laboratory. This is a part time position with some flexibility in hours, afternoon- evening schedule.

- Support Gift of Hope’s mission, vision and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position
- Demonstrate support for our mission through annual participation in a donor family event
- Wash laboratory glassware
- File genetic samples in the ultra-low temperature freezers according to their storage numbers
- File records
- Prepare mailers (tubes, labels and dialysis lists) to dialysis centers and patient homes for collection of monthly samples
- Prepare vials for aliquoting the blood samples
- Label and oil the micro titer trays
- Clean laboratory counters
- Disinfect centrifuges and incubator
- Maintain adequate inventory of laboratory and mailing supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Training Required
The following identifies the minimum education and training required to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Current or previous enrollment in a science-related course of study
