- • Follows all Maryville policies and procedures as well as all standard operating
- procedures for the program;
- • Provides for the basic needs of the unaccompanied children including, but not
- limited to: nutrition, hygiene, clothing, daily routines, recreational activities,
- laundry and education;
- • Conducts oneself as a role model for the youth;
- • Provides consistent “line of sight” supervision of youth;
- • Provides safe transportation of youth to various scheduled activities;
- • Completes all required logs, forms and reports;
- • Assists youth with processing of events and emotions in a confidential manner in
- all behavioral areas;
- • Attends a minimum of 20 hours of advanced training/workshops on an annual
- basis;
- • Other duties as assigned.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education/Experience:
- • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in human
- services field preferred;
- • 2 years’ experience working with youth in a residential setting preferred.
- Skills /Knowledge:
- • Bilingual English/Spanish language competency required;
- • Ability to use good judgment, and think quickly and rationally in stressful
- situations;
- • Successful completion of all staff education requirements including: Pre-Service
- training, NCI, CPR, and ARC Model;

- • Ability to establish trust and positive rapport with children, and work within ethical
- boundaries;
- • Ability to effectively prioritize job duties and needs of the children;
- • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), and
- documentation programs;
- • Must possess a valid driver’s license;
- • Ability to drive a passenger van.
