Housing Advocate- la Casa Norte

 La Casa Norte’s (LCN) Housing Advocacy Program provides case management, housing location, and income support services to families who have an open child welfare case and are homeless or at-risk. Our services focus on helping families obtain stable housing, avoid family separation and assist with family reunification.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday. Eligible applicants must be available to work occasional evenings and Saturdays. In order to be considered, an applicant must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle in order to conduct home visits within the entire City of Chicago and adjoining suburbs.


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  •  SPANISH/ENGLISH BILINGUAL PREFERRED
  •  Strong computers skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet browser, etc.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Knowledgeable of the social and cultural patterns of Latinos & African Americans
  •  Ability to work independently and creatively
  •  Desire, creativity, and flexibility to work in a new and fast growing agency
  •  Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  •  Ability to handle various projects concurrently
