Program Assistant- Enlace Chicago

Enlace Chicago is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of the residents of the Little

championing opportunities for educational advancement and economic development.

Reports to: Resource Coordinator
Accountable to: Resource Coordinator; Community Schools Manager
Communicates with: All other program instructors
Informs: School-based staff members
Status: 4-15 Hours/Week, Part Time /Seasonal Employee, with the possibility of increasing hours
over Summer 2021

Job Summary:
Enlace Chicago partners with eight neighborhood public schools in Little Village to transform them
into fun, safe, and innovative community-driven learning environments for youth and adults during
after school hours. A Community School extends its walls into the community by coordinating
classes, resources, events and opportunities for academic acceleration and intervention, arts and
cultural enrichment, sports and outdoor programming, summer youth opportunities, middle school to
high school transition, post-secondary success and career exploration, health and wellness and adult
education with family leadership opportunities.
The Program Assistant is an integral part of the community schools staff, as it has an organizational
and logistical component. The program assistant is responsible, along with Resource Coordinator, to
maintain an organized database for afterschool programming in order to keep grant compliance. The
program assistant is responsible for attendance, timesheets, material requests, and other paperwork,
in order to assist the Resource Coordinator in afterschool programming logistics.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Manages daily timesheets for community school staff
● Collects and manages daily program attendance
● Maintains supplies and inventory lists
● Maintains an organized database using Excel and enters data into Cityspan
● Makes calls home and to participants as needed
● Maintains an organized workspace with documents, information, and schedules easily
available
● Assists with designing, translating, and copying documents as needed
● Assists in grant compliance and evaluation measures across youth and parent programs
including survey distribution, inputting, and recording
● Assists with payroll requirements
● Attends and assists with general school events
● Other tasks as necessary

Qualifications:
● Have strong and effective oral/written communication skills
● Works well in teams, strong communicator and highly organized
● Administrative experience preferred
● Have a flexible schedule to be able to work during day and/or evening hours
● Creative and self-starter
● Computer Literacy Required.
● Have strong documentation and records management skills
● Must complete CPS background check
● Bilingual English/Spanish Strongly Preferred
