Inventory Control Manager- US Foods- Bensenville, IL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

•    Labor planning and scheduling of inventory control staff – Ensure all activities are completed timely, as labor availability and priorities change, utilizing all personnel effectively.  Includes prioritizing and delegating ad hoc requests in cooperation with warehouse operations personnel
•    Associate coaching and development – Attract, develop, and lead a highly skilled and motivated team 
•    Drive continuous improvement – Work with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for improvement and develop/implement best practices/routines
•    Cross-functional collaboration and influence – Identify and resolve root causes of inventory losses, working with cross-functional partners to problem solve and implement preventive measures
•    Inventory Adjustments weekly Routine – Working with the Area Director of Finance; monitor and communicate performance metrics.  Analyze significant cycle count adjustments to identify root causes and communicate with the team
•    Reclamation of vendor packaging issues – Ownership of the reclamation process, coordinating with buyers for billback and/or on-site repackaging of product.  Reviewing data and analyzing for trends and determining root causes for potential prevention measures
•    Manage non-saleable (suspense) inventory – Ownership of inventory placed into suspense (Fresh to Frozen, recall, damage, etc.) and work with cross-functional partners to ensure timely resolution
•    Review and approve customer credit requests; determine root causes for process improvement and prevent duplication
•    SOx compliance – Effectively perform controls such as Inventory report review, open delivery route aging and reconciliation reports and 100% quarterly cycle count completion

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education/Training:
•    High School diploma or equivalent required.  Associates degree with management or supply chain background preferred.
•    Forklift and HAACP training will be provided, certification within 1st 90 days required

Related Experience/Requirements: 
•    5 years minimum experience in inventory control or warehousing required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  
•    Strong understanding of inventory control procedures
•    Excellent analytical skills
•    Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required 
•    Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.)
•    Experience in leading continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.) preferred

Main Ingredients of the Job

  • Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
  • Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
  • Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
  • Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
  • Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

Operation Clerk- Nights- US Foods- Bensenville IL

Under limited supervision perform standard but diversified general office duties requiring some knowledge of the unit’s transportation and/or warehouse and company policy, practice and procedures. Respond to non routine moderately complex inquiries concerning area of responsibility with some degree of latitude and judgment using existing policies, practices and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and process forms and documents, such as time sheets, requisitions, purchase orders, DVIR's, shipping labels, etc. following standard procedures. Collect, track and input data relative to Operations metrics.  (including but not limited to; shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate over-time)Maintain files, record keeping activities and confidential data. Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets and databases. Prepare summary information for manager's review.  Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collect and verify data. Monitor inventory levels of office supplies; initiate purchase orders as necessary.

Office of Executive Inspector General-Investigator

POSITION SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the Supervising Investigator, Deputy Inspector General and Chief,

Deputy Inspector General, or Assistant Inspector General serves as Investigator. The incumbent is responsible for 

conducting investigations in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and policies. Gathers, preserves, and analyzes 

evidence; obtains information via interviews and other methods; prepares investigative reports. This position involves 

working within limits of authority on assignments of an extremely sensitive and confidential nature associated with 

investigations and legal proceedings. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Interviews subjects, witnesses, and other parties to gather, verify, and/or corroborate evidence.

2. Conducts stationary and mobile surveillance.

3. Collects, analyzes, and interprets information, documentation, and physical evidence.

4. Documents statements, observations, and evidentiary materials. Prepares case reports on all investigative action 

taken; and ensures that reports are well-written, accurate, concise, thorough, and timely.

5. Maintains records of all information and material pertinent to open investigations; and identifies, labels, and stores 

evidence and ensures the security of all pertinent stored evidence and information gathered during the investigative 

process. Updates agency systems with investigative information.

6. Interacts with Office of Executive Inspector General (OEIG) legal staff and other agencies under the jurisdiction of the 

OEIG, investigative entities within other agencies, auditors, the Illinois Office of Attorney General, and various law 

enforcement agencies to ensure professional cooperation and investigative efforts. Testifies in administrative and 

criminal court proceedings, as necessary.

7. Keeps current on agency and state policies, rules, regulations, and statutes.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the 

scope of the duties enumerated above.

REPORTS TO: Supervising Investigator and/or Deputy Inspector General

SUBORDINATE POSITIONS: None

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

• bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, public or business administration, or a related area of study or 

demonstrated knowledge, skill, mental development, and experience equivalent to four years of college; or four years 

of professional investigative experience in law enforcement or a related field;

• knowledge of investigative techniques, practices, and concepts; 

• ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions effectively; 

• ability to handle and resolve ambiguous situations and issues;

• knowledge of Illinois statutes, rules, and regulations concerning conflicts of interest and malfeasance;

• strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills;

• high personal ethical standards due to content of work materials;

• flexibility to work independently as well as in a team environment; 

• ability to travel, including overnight; 

• demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other applications; and

Area Marketing Manager- US Foods- Bensenville IL

Manages and develops annual marketing plan in conjunction with Area and Region Leadership.

Manages Area marketing spend and budgeting within all Markets in the Area.  

Plan, develop, coordinate and execute marketing and sales activities such as culinary events, sales meetings, promotions/incentives, etc.

Area’s voice of marketing leadership for center led strategic initiative such as flyer promotions, product launches, customer and seller events, incentives and other campaign driven efforts.   Counsel, and provide support to, Area leadership to maximize impact of center-driven Marketing programs and best practices for delivering local programs. 

Manage marketing activities to support and drive key results; sales and profit growth, penetration (account, Scoop, and E-Commerce) and account growth. 

Assess local sponsorship and partnership opportunities with marketing leadership. Provide assistance in obtaining items such as advertisements for local media, table tents, etc.

  

Implement and execute the center led marketing activities. Review center-led materials and make any area specific changes, such as updates to product list based on inventory availability, before distributing. Manage all aspects of distribution.

Develop marketing materials and communications to support Area-led activities using templates, tools and best practices provided by the Center such as local flyers, promotions and events. Manage distribution.

Responsible for communicating local promotional results to sales team by using Center provided analytics or working with Sales Analyst on local tracking needs. Makes recommendations to Area Leadership on how to improve results of promotional and marketing events.  Work with Area VP Merchandising and Marketing, Area Category Operations Managers and Area Director Commercial Support to identify and develop promotional opportunities for localized vendors.

Follows company brand standards when customizing and creating any local marketing materials. Responsible for ensuring our brand is executed by all personnel within all Markets within their Area and vendor/broker partners.

Provide Center provided product/program positioning materials (i.e. sell sheets, guides, etc), as well as training materials, for the sales force.

Use and encourage the use of approved social media channels and collaboration tools Teams (Yammer) by all personnel within the Area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training: 

  • Four-year college degree in marketing / marketing-related field or equivalent experience required.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing required.
  • Experience marketing events and sales related programs within the food/CPG industry, preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to operate under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.  
  • Ability to set performance goals and manage personnel to those goals, even when direct reports are located in other markets.
